Loving Germany!!
Hey guys,
I have finally had the chance to update the blog, it's been pretty hectic - the tour is fast paced and we seem to be always moving.
I'm using the internet cafe at the moment and the keyboard is slightly different so bare with me as i'm typing each word one by one..
We are now in Germany, just finished seeing some of the 'highlights' in Amsterdam.
I'm loving Germany - it's such a beautiful country with majestic castles and ancient buildings - we are only here for one day but I would definately come back and do some more sight seeings and experience on what the country has to offer.
The weather so far has been really good also!!!
Guys, this is gonna be a short post so I'll try to update the blog when we head to Munich tomorrow...!!
Cheers

London - Day 6
Hey guys, it's almost been a week now and I have mastered catching the tube - okie, as some of you may know I am pretty hopeless with directions but the tube isn't all that difficult - I feel like a Londoner now..lol. Oh, let me tell you a funny story that happened today, as I was strolling along Covent Garden (good shopping area!) a Japanese/Korean tourist asked me for directions...could you believe it?!! me? directions? Anyways, I pretended to be a local, looked at her map and faked a British accent..to which she actually believed me!!! funny shit!! she thanked me and I couldn't wipe the smirk on my face after that..!! Come to think of it...I don't think I gave her the right direction...
Next week is my Contiki trip and I'm soo looking forward to it!! I'll try to update my blog when I get the chance so stay tuned!!

London - Day 4
It's 8:12am to be exact and I'm just starting to pack up and get ready to move to another hostel which isn't far from where I'm at - Holborn.
Yesterday, the hot water system broke which drove everyone nuts!!
It's sooo nice to have a long and relaxing hot shower this morning...I think I was in there for at least half an hour lol!
Okies, just to pass the time, I thought I'll share with you guys my random thoughts/tips on London so far:
- If you're bringing your mobile phone from home, make sure that it is 'unlocked'. Contact your service provider before you leave home and you may need to pay a fee. I bought a UK Sim Card and it would not register as the phone is locked. If you haven't done this, you can always ask the mobile shop and they will charge you a fee of about 10 pounds (that's what I've been told!)
- I'm glad that I bought nasal spray. The pollution in London is pretty bad combined with the cool weather. Not very pleasant for an allergy sufferer like myself.
- Organise your UK bank account with 1st Contact. You can do this when you arrive or before. I suggest that you do it before as it makes the process alot easier. I did it yesterday through HSBC and it was easy to set up - it will be ready for collection in the next 10 days, after my Contiki tour.
- Ladies, if you have frizzy, ruthless hair, I suggest you bring your GHD/hair straightner/hair dryer. I was going to bring mine, but for some reason, took it out the last minute...darn!
- I'm glad that I bought a small plastic container to make my 2 min noodles etc - who knows how many people have used the bowls/plates at the hostel!!
- I'm glad that I booked a single dorm room - ladies - if you're travelling solo I suggest you book this in advance
- I'm glad that I bought a shower cap - trust me, it was very handy
- I'm glad that I did alot of walking rather than catching a tube from one station to another - you see a whole lot more of London than you realise - so make sure you bring comfy walking shoes!
- Be a tourist while you have a chance as when you start working you may not have the time to do just that!!
- I'm glad that I came with no expectations!

It's been a great day with lots of sightseeing and roaming aimlessly at the historic buildings and beautiful scenery...London is always buzzing with excitement and things to do!
I'm enjoying it here and living it up!!

London...Finally!!
Hi guys, I'm finally in London!! Whooo Hooo!!
The weather is nice and sunny with a cool breeze.
The long flight was draining and frustrating. We had pretty bad turbulence for the first 3 hours..it was pretty scary, but overall a good flight - though the food wasn't very good.
I met a lovely couple who sat in the same row and the lady kept on talking on and on about her children - it was hard not to be rude - a nice lady but man could she talk!!
I had no problems with Customs - gave her my passport and a form that we needed to complete, the only question she asked me was what flight I was on..too easy and I thought they were going to drill you..lol. All in all it went rather smoothly.
As soon as I caught the underground tube to find my hostel I could tell that I'm going to enjoy it here - the time is now 9:35am and I'm feeling really tired..I'm staying at Pickwick Hall - not a bad hostel though it could do with some renovation. Most of them staying here are students..
I'm gonna go out for a walk later and check out the area and take some pics..
See you on the other side..!!

Singapore!
Hi Everyone,
I'm in Singapore now waiting for my next connecting flight to London. The flight went really smoothly - hardly any turbulence - the jet lag is starting to kick in now! lol
I sat in the aisle seat and a man who was in the window seat never left his seat to go to the bathroom...hmm..amazing!; whilst the guy who sat in the middle kept on drinking burbon and coke and he was totally out of it as he kept on nodding off throughout the whole trip!!
It's gonna be another 13 more hours until I land in Heathrow and I can feel my head just wanting to hit a pillow any second. Hope the flight is as smooth as the last one. Will land approximately at 6am.
Miss my family already!!!
Love you lots!!
Tune back again when I reach London....

14.5 hours to go!!
Alrighty, I've finally managed to pack my gear - after going almost 4 rounds of putting things in and taking things out my bag is set! I think! Ok - don't laugh, yes, I'm bringing my pillow. Can't help it - it's the best pillow I have and I've had it for years. It's amazing what the 'space bag' can do!
Last week has been busy catching up with families and friends and it still hasn't sunked it that I'm actually leaving tomorrow morning - it kinda almost feels like I'll see them anyday, but knowing in the back of my mind that I'm on the other side of the world and the only thing that I will see are the photos.
I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight..the excitment and nerves are getting way too much!
First stop...Singapore!!
Watch this space...!!
